
Jesi Hanley Vega
Jesi Vega is a writer, editor, and workshop facilitator whose multiethnic background shapes and inspires all her work. She is passionate about exploring voice, identity, and meaningful connection across nonfiction, fiction, and live performance. For over a decade, Jesi has dedicated her platform to uplifting multicultural stories and encouraging thoughtful conversations around identity and cultural hybridity.

Her screenwriting credits include "Jersey Grrrl," a semifinalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, and "Greetings from the Shore," which was featured at Park City’s Digidance Film Festival. Jesi has also performed onstage at The Moth, and her writing on biracial and immigrant experiences appears in the Blue Cactus anthology "We Need a Reckoning," Quincy Manor Publishing’s "This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land," and the upcoming Creative Colloquy Anthology, Volume 10.

Jesi holds degrees from Vassar College and the University of Chicago Divinity School, as well as certificates from The Screenwriters Group in Chicago and Writers Boot Camp in Los Angeles. She was a longtime member of the Los Angeles Filmmakers Alliance and now produces live performances with the One Table Show—a diverse group of multidisciplinary artists committed to inclusive, accessible theater in Tacoma, Washington.
